Russian Cosmetics- New Revolution

As I've mentioned in my previous post about a little gem that I've recently found. I've thought you might like to know a bit more about the products that I've purchased not so long ago and what impact (if any)they had on my hair.

Here in the UK it's very difficult to get on the high street any other cosmetics than from the West. That's why for my little Polish/Russian gems I had to trawled trough a few different websites. Eventually I found triny.pl ( it's a Polish website where you can find all sorts of natural products, not only for your hair). After intense search and reading many reviews I decided to get two products.

First is Grandmother Agafii Brewer's Yeast Hair Mask, that is paraben free and promises to stimulate hair grow. What's more, it strengthens and regenerates hair from within, preventing future damage and excessive hair loss.

The active ingredients contained in the mask:
• brewer's yeast - improves the hair structure, strengthen them, accelerate growth
• birch sap strenghten hair roots, prevents excessive hair loss
• Elecampane (Inula Helenium Extract)  great antiseptic and antibacterial
• bearberry - natural antiseptic
• milk thistle - reduces inflammation and inhibits the formation of skin lesions
• wheat germ oil - restores the structure of hair, smooths the surface and protects against excessive loss of water and UV radiation
• Oil from the seeds of white currants - anti-inflammatory, intensely nourishing
• cedar nut oil - reduces sebum, fights dandruff, stimulates the subcutaneous circulation and prevents excessive hair loss
• Oil rosehip - nourishes, moisturizes and tones the hair.
The mask doesn't need to be held for too long, it only needs couple of minutes on wet hair.
Second product is Grandmother Agafii Serum Spray that you supposed to use 2-3 times w week, on the clean scalp. Another paraben free product, which promises quicker hair growth owing it to 7 carefully chosen herbs.

Active ingredients:
Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis Extract) - soothes irritations, regenerates hair follicles, moisturizing the scalp.
Schisandra Chinese (Shizandra chinesis Oil officinalis) - a rich source of vitamin C, strengthens hair follicles and tones the scalp, prevents brittleness and excessive hair loss.
The extract from the root of ginseng (Panax Ginseng Root Extract) - improves blood circulation in the scalp stimulates hair follicles to grow new hair.
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis Leaf Oil) - regulates sebaceous glands, prevents dandruff.
Burdock root extract (Arctium Lappa Root Extract) - irreplaceable agent in hair care, having a strong regenerative properties, strengthens the hair structure, prevents brittleness and drying.
Stinging nettle (Urtica Dioica Extract) - heals the scalp, removes and prevents dandruff. Especially recommended for dry hair.
The juice of birch (Betula Alba Extract) - against  hair loss,

I've got great hopes for this spray. I heard a lot of positive reviews, with girls confirming the hair growth so much quicker than usual.

As I've mentioned before my hair is still very brittle so regular and often trims are crucial to get rid off dry, hay-looking like strands. That's why I've popped in to a local hairdresser and have a lot chopped off. At least 2-3cm has been taken off but my hair needed it and now it's so much easier to style and I've even started air drying it. My new, updated hairstyle... I love the fresh, bouncy hair straight after leaving the salon's chair ;) What do you think?

Hair Challenge March review/ Zapuscmy sie na wiosne

Hi guys,

March is behind us which means another month of growing out my hair has passed. What I've noticed during those last few months that my hair's condition is improving, slowly but something good is happening. I would say mid lengths and ends need cutting, that's why regular trims are a must at the moment. All in all future looks bright for my strands as long as I keep away from bleach I 'll be fine ;)

Hair length: 48.5-49cm ( I would say first measurement is more likely to be closest)

Hair Condition: mid lengths and ends still brittle and visible signs of damage done by constant bleaching. However, overall condition not bad, as after washing and drying my hair is easier to manage and doesn't need much of styling to look good.

Hair treatments: Kerastase Resistance shampoo and mask twice a week, warm oil treatment every other week, sometimes even less often ( I find that oil used too often is simply too heavy for my hair and makes it limp and with no volume). Used the rest of ampoules Joanna Turnip and for the first time used Yeast Hair Mask ( which left my hair incredibly soft with no sign of frizz, even after using hairdryer- more about this new revolution soon).

Supplements: Silica Complex ( one tablet a day)

Hair Growth: 1.5cm

My hair before the wash, apologies for greasy weave xoxo
